The Mishawaka Pilot's Club has for
years held a fly-in/drive-in breakfast
on Fathers Day. Breakfast normally
includes pancake, sausage, coffee/milk
and juice. All for only $4 for adults
and $3 for children.
This year we decided to add scrambled eggs
and ham in addition to the usual pancakes
and sausage. So if you wanted the works
it would have cost you $5, while the pancakes
and sauage remained at $4.
We normally attract 300 to 500 people for
breakfast and airplane rides. This year there
were nearly 900 breakfasts sold. Apparently
advertising works as we had placed "Burma Shave"
signs along country roads near the airport. This
was our only advertising except for posting flyers
at nearby airports, and listings in the activities
section of several aviation publications.
